This session will explore the Five Stickiest Changes to Education brought about by the shutdown of schools caused by the 2020-2021 COVID-19 pandemic. The proposed five “stickiest” changes are the result of generative research conducted by Anna Harrison over a period of four months from December 2020 to March 2021. This first phase of research is being captured in a white paper that is targeted for publication in fall of 2021. The diverse pool of interviewees included teachers, students, administrators, designers, and educational thinkers, disrupters, and service providers from across the globe. Three of the interviewees are featured on this panel which will be moderated by the researcher. The first half of the session will feature the panelists describing in their own words, for better or worse, what they believe are the Five Stickiest Changes to education. The second half of the session will consist of break-out groups facilitated by the researcher and the panelists to envision the next chapter in the story for better. The Five Stickiest Changes are: Learn Anywhere Learn Anytime, Stay Open School Design, To Test or Not to Test, Quality of Life, Personalized Learning.
